FAQs

Do you offer membership plans?
Yes, we have membership packages, our Teeth for Life plan offers you flexibility and accessible dental care to help you maintain great dental health. This membership plan includes dental examinations, dental hygiene appointments (30-minute appointments), routine digital radiographs, fluoride varnish application, worldwide dental and trauma insurance, and up to 10% off dental treatment fees. It means you can spread the costs of your dental treatment throughout the year. It also means you are less likely to develop dental issues as you are getting regular check-ups.
What dental services do you offer?
Our Summertown dental clinic offers a wide range of dental services including general dentistry such as check-ups, fillings, crowns, and bridges, cosmetic dentistry, including teeth whitening veneers, orthodontics, such as Invisalign, and we can create a complete smile makeover. We also have dental hygienist appointments using Airflow, a pain-free treatment for regular oral care. We specialise in gentle dentistry, meaning your treatment can be pain-free. We offer sedation, Quicksleeper 5, which is an injection-free anaesthetic, and the Trios Intraoral scanner, which is great for those patients with a heightened gag reflex, and who don’t like the old-fashioned putty moulds. Experience the difference a gentle dentist can make to your overall dental experience.
Do you offer emergency treatments in Summertown?
Yes, we offer same-day emergency dental treatment to patients who are in pain or have sustained a dental injury. Contact us asap and we can help you.
What is classed as a dental emergency?
A dental emergency means you require urgent dental assistance and/or you are in severe dental pain. This dental emergency could occur due to various situations, such as an infection, dental injury, and knocked-out teeth. If you are in dental pain, contact us for an emergency dental appointment. We will do our best to get you seen as soon as possible.
Can I go to A&E with a tooth problem?
There is usually no need for you to visit A&E for a dental emergency, as dentists are far better equipped to treat you in a dental practice than a doctor in a hospital. You may also waste time waiting in A&E only to find you can’t be effectively treated. If you have a dental emergency, the best option is to contact your dental practice for advice.
Do you treat nervous patients?
Yes, we welcome all patients, and we understand that visiting the dentist can be daunting for some people. We offer gentle dentistry to alleviate concerns regarding fear of injections, dental anxiety, and gag reflex. We have designed a relaxed, calming, and friendly atmosphere, helping put you at ease. We can also offer dental sedation for treatments. It is completely safe and has the potential to make a significant difference to your dental experience. Speak to our team when you are booking your appointment, and we can put a plan in place to help you get the dental care you need.
What should I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit, you can expect a comprehensive dental exam, including X-rays, a thorough cleaning, and a discussion about your dental health and any treatment recommendations. We strive to make your first visit as comfortable and informative as possible.
